Restore a finish? What Color?
| | |
Posted by lyban (My Page) on Thu, Jul 2, 09 at 13:42
I have an old quite dirty and scratched vanity and I would like to try Howards RAF. It is a medium color walnut. Would I be better off using the walnut color or natural.
Thanks |

| I've used the walnut on almost everything and love it. Be sure to get the fine grit steel wool the can calls for. It does a great job. Red |

XPost on woodworking. After my inquiry about RAF, I find out that I cannot get it in my area. I have now posted photos to see if anyone has any suggestions on how to clean this piece and then stain it if needed. I have the mirror and bench and all drawers.

| I'm sorry that you can't find it. I was able to buy it at Home Depot in the area that has paint thinner, etc. I also saw some at an Antique Store. HTH, Necia |
