Quick question re: end table height and sofa arm

I'm looking for a pair of end table to use in my LR and found something on CL that might work, but need opinions on the height of the end tables. The arms of my sofa are rather high at almost 29" and the end tables I am considering are 26" high. The round table I currently have is 28" tall, but I highly doubt I will find a pair of end tables at that height. Do you think the 26" height will work?

Here's a pic showing the current round table and the sofa.

I like the round table, but an considering adding a pair of end tables because otherwise I have nothing in the room that is consistent. It's becoming too much of a mish-mash of furniture, I'm afraid.

Also, I would like to change the coffee table to perhaps a round glass and metal table.

The 26" will probably work fine but you will need taller lamps, possibly.

I don't think you have a mish-mash, though. It's "accumulated" but it seems to be working together.

I am trying to achieve an "accumulated" look, but don't want it to look too random. If I add the pair of end tables, they would be the only two matching items in the room.

I do still like the round table in the corner and have considered simply adding another end table on the other side of the sofa, but then every single table in the room would be different.

Every table in my living room is different but my style may be more eclectic than yours. I'm wondering, though -- are you going to place the end table in front of that glass front cabinet? Doesn't seem like you have much room on that side of the sofa -- or will you be moving the cabinet elsewhere?

Anyway, to answer your question, I think the lower height would be okay.
