Leona Helmsley's place in Greenwich CT is for sale. Last time in 2011 they were asking about $45 m and now they want nearly 1/3 more, even though they shrunk the place by 3,000 sq ft. News to me that real estate prices went up that much in this area, but hey...it's Greenwich so who knows?

And who could forget Leona 'only the little people pay taxes' Helmsley, Queen of Mean.

I'll take it if I can buy it for 1% of the list price...lol. Seriously, can you imagine the annual property taxes and maintence costs for a place that size? That's not what I would want to spend my money on even if I had that level of wealth.

Ah, Leona. Who could forget her. It's actually a bargain since the original asking price was $123m. I can't imagine having a place like that. Even if money were not an issue, you ultimately have to be the one in charge. No thanks. Gorgeous though.

Yeah, she left her money to the dogs. And her husband, Harry, was a real trip. He got off and let his wife take the rap... he couldn't remember a thing...I'm an old man... I don't remember....I don't know anything... Meanwhile the people working with him on business dealings said he was still involved in all major business decisions at the firm. Crazy. Like a fox!
