Today's Furniture Project

Today's project for my art/ studio are was scraping down this shelving unit to store either my ironstone or my art supplies and paints. Not sure which yet. It was once in our store that we had years ago and then I put it in storage and forgot about it until recently when DH dug it out and dragged it home for me. More paint chipped scraped off than I'd anticipated but I think that I'm going to leave it as is and seal it. I don't know what t was once used for before it was acquired for our store. It has these curious evenly placed holes on each shelf so I assume that it was used as some sort of drying rack? Anyone have any thoughts on what it may have been used for? I love the castors on it!
Once my corner is finished I will post pics of it.
