Ceiling and wall paint , same texture

I want my ceiling and walls to both be the same white.
Can I use the same eggshell finish for both or do I need flat for ceiling.

My trim and crown will be a semi gloss in a different white.

The texture of your ceiling might dictate the paint type. Have you checked with your painter or paint store? They are very knowledgeable in this kind of thing and not having seen your ceiling, I would not know. Do you have a textured ceiling?

We used exactly the same type of paint on our walls and ceilings--BM Aura paint, matte finish. Ceilings are all Super White (as are the walls in the kitchen, LR, DR, hallway, foyer/stairway).

FWIW, we used BM Aura satin finish paint on the base molding (matched to the wall colors in each room).

Patricia
No texture on ceiling, they look like walls.
Cat mom,
Thank you.

What cat mom said, in that case.

I wouldn't want anything with a sheen on the ceiling as it would reflect too much for me, but I don't mind an eggshell on the walls.

So I wouldn't use the same sheen.

Edited: cell phone auto corrects.
