Men & HGTV - You guys will get a laugh.....

So last Halloween DH tells me that he hired a guy at our shop/ business that makes furniture from old barn wood. DH tells me that he just recently moved back to the East Coast from CA. The painter/ wall paper hanger across the street introduced him to DH.

So I've met and spoken w/ him tons of times. I've posted pics here of the farmhouse tables that we've done w/ him.

So Monday I finally remembered to look at his website. I clicked on 'About'....... and read through. While in CA he worked on an HGTV show as a carpenter. When DH came home I said:
'Did you know that _____worked as a carpenter on an HGTV design show?'
DH: 'No.'
Me: 'Seriously?! You two spend how much time together and this never came up?'
DH: 'No.'

I just had to laugh and shake my head. Lol!

Priorities. It's all about priorities.

When giving directions to a woman, I always say, turn by the fabric store and take a right at the mani-pedi. When giving directions to a man, I always say, turn by the muffler place and take a right at the tire store.

My neighbor and I were just laughing this morning about how we have blind spots for things that don't interest us.

When my son was in kindergarten, just before spring break, he and his little buddies (4 altogether) were at our house after school. When the others went home, we were talking about what my son would be doing over spring break. I asked what the others are doing, and he said "I dunno". He's nearly 30 now and nothing has changed :-)

Lol! I fear DS2 has fallen into the same issue as DH and the stories above. Not so for DS1 - only because he reads my face so well. Always has since 3yo. good for him. Sorta bad for me but I'll take it! DS1 is also the one w/ a fascination for all things wood so hopefully he'll go into the family biz.
