We are expecting the arrival of a new mahogany front door any day now. Prior to the arrival of our contractor, I need to have some stain samples in hand-- but I'm not sure what direction to go in. Below is the door style we are getting. There will be simple sidelights flanking the door.

My question is, should I continue to go dark like the door is now? Or something more of a lighter or medium shade? At first I was thinking to keep it on the darker side, but now as the time approaches I am not so sure.

Any thoughts?
