I take it you didn't like the caesarstone marble look a likes....

Otherwise you have to go to the stone yards to look at each slab. Sorry don't know any in your area....there's a real large place in a not so hot section of new haven, but I doubt you want to go that far...

You might get more info on stone types and stone yards on the kitchen forum. It's a very active forum.

We drove 6 hours to find ours. It was worth the trip. I love the quartzite that we found. Can't wait to see it installed!

Last I was on here I think you were still considering quartz alternatives. Back when I was making the decisions for my kitchen I came across a couple of good comparison articles on the net about white quartz countertops.
This one entitled White marble alternatives and the Part two here were especially helpful. I found that if you don't have access to see actual samples or the slabs you can get them to mail you sample pieces.

Check with elizabeth@newjerseystone.com for quartzite. She can email you photos of slabs to get an initial look. They also have a wholesaler connection which if IRC, was in north jersey. Didn't work for me, but I was looking to use 2 diff stones in a small space. HTH
