Mtn - Just wanted to share that I thought of you the other day when I stopped in the Alison Evan's gallery. I needed to pick up a book in the shop next door and realized I had never been in. It is a lovely working studio.
I shall probably go back to pick up a very large oyster platter to use on either my island or my dining room table I was in a bit of a rush that day so I need to go back at my leisure.
As your Maine house comes together you may want to plan a trip, you could perhaps even sync it up with the very popular Clam Festival the third weekend in July with lots of music, a juried arts and crafts show, and some great events: road race, professional bike race, kayak race. Oh, my children would be scandalized if I didnt mention there is also a carnival with rides and a midway! It's quite the place to be in Maine that weekend.

Thanks for thinking of me! Where is the festival?

I have to look at my calendar; we have a whacky schedule but we are trying to spend a week at a time there, sandwiched around kids' camps etc, and planned so as to come and go midweek and hopefully avoid traffic!

Sorry mtn, I thought you knew where Alison's gallery/studio is. It is in the village of Yarmouth, ME. Yarmouth hosts the Yarmouth Clam Festival annually, the 3rd weekend in July.
I totally hear you about kid's summer schedules, I often feel like a Brigadier General arranging troop movements when I sit down to fit 'one more thing' into the master family summer calendar.

The saddest thing, is we have pretty much every bit of summer scheduled out. Seeing it on paper makes it seem like it's all over!

When we were kids, summer seemed endless, until it ended.

Anyway, I am also mulling a mirror in that space, headed up today and then I can measure and see ...

Yarmouth is pretty far North --- or is it East --- from us but it sure looks like fun!
