How about a Recency Style chair...the scale might be better for a bedroom --they are curvier and lighter appearing than a rococo chippendale.

We place a "corner chair" in front of ours. When the writing desk is closed the chair then becomes additional seating in the living room.

Thank you palimpsest...just by coincidence, I was looking at a Regency chair in Ballard Designs today; one that can be upholstered in a choice of fabrics. And I love the corner chair idea too, fnmroberts. What a beautiful secretary. I will post some of mine soon. Thank you both.
