Does Anyone Recognize These Chairs??

These chairs were restored by our very own my3dogs and I bought them from her last year for my DD's apartment. They were upholstered with grain sack burlap on the backs and a striped Ralph Lauren on the seat which went perfectly with her decor. But several months ago she moved into a loft apartment with a really strange layout of windows and outdoor terrace space and asked us to store them for her, so of course we did. And when ID came down from NYC and saw the stored chairs he loved them and practically demanded we use them, so....

The darker parts of the chair will be wonderful with the fruitwood finish of a Baker side table we have ordered for the room:

This is pretty far away but I wanted to get the chairs in the frame with the pool table. The color couldn't be better:

Well, blow me down! They live again! I'm glad that your ID liked them and that they will be part of your beautiful room! They're now on their third life - talk about re-cycling. :-)

One year ago, I bought two of these from CL, when they looked like this -

Then, when they took the Greyhound to GA, they looked like this (minus the pillows I made just before they were shipped) -

And my young friend who lives in my basement (long story) just called from HIS favorite recycling place - Goodwill. He told me that he just bought a chair for me to re-do for $5.00. His taste is VERY different from mine, so who knows what will come through the door.

We were able to save the seat fabric for a future DD project and she is using those cute pillows in a club chair, my3dogs. I've never "turned around" upholstery that quickly in my life but I am so glad we are using them in the new area!

Oldbat2be, we decided against the tartan for the pool table for lots of reasons, and the chairs were always going to be in the paisley. The tartan will be on pillows on the sofas and daybeds. The paisley will appear again on daybed bolsters behind the cushions. I can't wait for the second weekend in June when we get the new furniture!
