Inside Mount Shades for Patio Sliding Door

Hi ,

Is it possible to inside-mount vertical cellular shades for Sliding Patio Doors ?

We will be framing the wall for these doors in the next few weeks and I was wondering if using a 2x6 wall would give me enough room to inside-mount vertical cellular shades .
I think we will get 2" inches extra space that can be cased with jamb extension and the shades can be mounted in this space.

Would like to get advise on whether this is possible to do.

These are mounted inside.

I've got Roman shades but yes 2x6 framing allows for inside mount.

Yes . I am looking for something like the photo above. I believe 2x6 wall will provide a 2" depth . Is that enough for mounting vertical cellulars ?

You just need to make sure that it's clear of the sliding door so it doesn't get caught on the shade...you'll have to check with the mnfctr.
