Mid Century Modern could be really pretty in the appropriate setting, in a home that was impeccably kept and immacuately clean. MCM is not the kind of furniture that one needs in a home that is painted or repaired by amateurs, halfway cleaned but needs to be in a home that is immaculately well kept and repaired to the point of looking new at all times with no junk or dirty clothes, toys, etc.

This is a really pretty piece for the right home. Mine is not. I have grandchildren, children and DILs who do not hang their jackets, but throw them on chairs when visiting, grandchildren who like to build Lego's in the middle of the public area and others who like to play drums and guitars for all the world to see and hear, but they are mine and I love them dearly, more than any other in the world and it is worth foregoing the awesome home to have them present in my life as short as the time may be.

Ugh why so far away... It would be perfect for our dining room. If not just a bit small.
