It's common here in uncommon Middle East Restraunts. (I love their food.)
Generally reserved for the customers in the know, the tables are flanked by pillows instead of chairs. This table sits furterist from the door. Don't ask me why. I just try to fit in and be respectful long enough to enjoy their yummy yummy food.

What a pretty little table. I think it would be great used as a riser in the middle of standard dining table.

Just, the DR table is a good idea but it wouldn't match.

I'm still walking around the house trying to figure out how to use it! lol

Buy 2 more, stack them and use as an end table...
