That is so awesome. I actually bought that exact same on for my family room. It's still sitting the box along with all the other lights for the new house. Hopefully, they will start going up in a couple weeks.

that IS a cool fan. On my screen it shows as somewhat of an optical illusion and my first thought after reading your electrical challenges was, "Oh no, who's going to tell him he installed the blades upside down?" But as I looked at it more I could see they were as they should be.

Now that the sun is setting in SC I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised in how much light the 2 13W CFL's produce.

As far as air movement, we have a very nice breeze in our 17x22 room on medium. High is great in all parts of the room and I can still feel slight movement in my corner when it's on low. The fan is built like a tank and doesn't move at all at any speed.

Minka-Aire has Fanimation beat when it comes to installation but they're both above average, IMO, when it comes to operation.
