Where did you buy it? Not sure with so little information why you don't know more about the rug if you bought it. Do you think the value is more than you paid? It's the kind of rug I know clutzy me would trip on and fall if I walked on it, I'm afraid, with those curled edges. Can you tell us more?

That's an odd comment. Maybe she got them at a outdoor market, thrift store, yard sale, or a discount store who cuts tags off. And maybe she just wants to know if she got a great deal.

I'd say they are chenille. Google 'red chenille rug' and add 'geometric design' to be even more specific.

I am always suspicious of vague posts like this which require research and little other information from posters who have made their virgin post and are now gone. Are they trying to bait someone into buying their knockoff rugs at a price lower than what TJMaxx is selling them for? Who knows, but I am always leery.
