I would have loved a white aluminum railing to match the window trim, but was worried it would obstruct the view and look like a sea of white (in the summer anyway).

I ended up building my own from treated 2x4's and 1/2" steel rod cut to length and painted ORB. Easy enough to bench press drill the 2x4's on their edges. Not *one* bit of fun trying to hammer the steel rods into the 2 parallel pieces of wood at the same time .....

Perhaps a bit too plain, but I really like it :)
