So agree about the beaded & such pillows. I admire them but always think I can't use them!

I will add poufs to the list. Does anyone sit on them? If so, doing what? Again, I like the way they look.

My girls sit on them. To eat curds and whey, mostly.

I like things like poufs to lean on when I sit on the floor. I am the youngest and often did not get a chair so I am used to sitting either in a hard chair or on the floor leaning on something upholstered.

I just found a really great deal on some faux silk down throw pillows. The color wasn't exactly what I wanted, and they said spot clean, but at $10 a piece I figured they were worth it as stuffers so that I could make my own covers. Much to my surprise, I found very nice zippers when I was cutting off the tags. I pulled the covers and inspected the sticking, and they are very well made. They will wash very well :)

I have a pouf. No one sits on it unless we have a lot of people in the library, which is very rare, but I am not getting rid of it. I have had mine since the mid 90's and it has the added stigma of using check and toile fabrics. It's now almost like an old pet, and no one thinks it is cute but me.

We have a couple of poufs that sit in the corner. We pull them out for extra seating when we have crowds. So they're very handy, but infrequently.

That sounds like the best kind of pouf to have, kswl! One that you love "just because" :)
