Updating powder room-lighting opinions please

I plan to update my 1st floor powder room with a white carrera marble countertop, undermount sink and a shiny silver faucet. I found this mirror on the Z Gallery site that I admire. My current electical box is placed directly on top of the mirror (2 lite fixture). The lighting choice has me stumped. Any thoughts on what would be appropriate?

I have also considered this round mirror.

It depends on which way you want to go...generally match the hardware, but you could go with something crystal and fancy like

Or you can go with something very clean lined

Ours was similar with a wall-mounted fixture above a mirror. Because the electricity is in conduit the box couldn't be removed. So we had a mirror made tall enough to cover the box (it slides out should access ever be necessary), then installed pendants.

I've seen mirrors similar to what you are considering at Restoration Hardware and Pottery Barn.

Both mirrors are pretty. What type and size is your vanity and what's the size of the room? Love the pendant lighting in fnmroberts bathroom.

The countertop is 42" wide and the room dimensions are 3 1/2 ft X 6 feet with 9 ft ceilings. The cabinet is a dark walnut stain. I want the overall look to be elegant. The powder room is directly off my entryway.I have not made any paint or wallpaper decisions yet.

If you were to hang the rectangular mirror horizontally, could you use the existing box for a fixture over the mirror? It seems that the countertop is wide enough to handle that.
