There's an apartment therapy blurb on grey that might give you some ideas. I might consider moving towards a blue grey to try to avoid the pink look you are seeing.

Thanks crl. I'll check out the link! My original thought was to paint everything mostly BM E.Grey and then paint the kitchen just 50 percent lighter. We are moving in a bit so this will eventually be for resale hence the neutral everywhere. I love it so much in foyer/great room and disappointed that it's going to take much more work to coordinate. LOL!

I may be off base here but I'm having trouble with the "coolness" of the colors. Simply white to me is cold, so is EG and ORB is a very warm color. Somehow it's all not clicking in my brain which could explain why it just seems "off" to you. Just a thought.

Hmm. simply white is usually touted at a neutral white as opposed to white dove which is usually touted as a warm white.

As with any paint I guess it looks different wherever you put it. Simply White is definitely crisp in my great room but I would not call it cool. It doesn't seem to have an undertone. I actually don't think the EG is cool either. More like a warm gray which sometimes also appears beige?

In my kitchen the Simply White is actually even warmer looking. It's fairly identical to Cloud White in there. Which sort of explains why the EG looks pink in there.

These two rooms are open to each other but drastically different in lighting which is why I'm having the problem tying them together.
