It will look nice with your other furnishings. I don't think you need to move the mirror if you use it in the foyer.

I have a 3 piece bookcase/drawer piece from Drexel's Chippendale collection I bought back in the 80s and it's still one of my favorite items. It has the same fretwork design your table has.

BTW, it was very pricey and is not cherry, but mahogany. If yours is from the same era, it probably is, too, though I can't tell from the pic.

I think it will look great in your foyer--it will fill in the wall space nicely. I do think you will want a much larger mirror to balance the piece.
