Just bought a house, and as I've started painting rooms and putting a few pieces of furniture in, I've realized the windows have a green tint to them, giving everything in the room a cool cast. I painted the walls a warm creamy white, that I've used in my previous house and love, and couldn't figure out why it looked so different here, then I noticed the windows were definitely green. Didn't notice before as all the walls were kraft paper brown and heavy curtains were on the windows. How can I minimize the effect of this light without replacing the windows (not in the budget). So far they all just have white mini blinds, hopefully curtains or wood blinds will help to counteract this effect, sometimes it feels like I'm living in a fish tank!
It really washes out the rich color of wood furniture, too.
