puckhog, I'm delighted to read another deep blue fan! My walls and ceiling are flat with beams all painted EK Sapphire and it's my favorite space to be. Coffered are more fun for decorating than flat. Punamytsike's dark ceiling is fabulous.

We went one shade lighter on the ceiling than the walls and painted the beams (drywall like yours) white.

I don't have a good picture of just the completed ceiling right now, so here's the best I have.

puckhog i am have same dilema. in my masterbdrm that we are building we have an octagon tray ceiling and in the masterbath are ceilings are like crazyhouse6!! with the bathroom the beams will be white and the inside the same as wall color-blue.

but im still undecided about our bedroom.hoping for some more pictures of tray ceilings ;ike the first p;icture. do you paint the inside of the ceiling the sAME AS wall or the flat part???
