| I did some shopping today and I think I got some really great stuff! I think my favorite thing is this calendar page from the antique mall...
I also got a great round mirror from Hobby Lobby. It's distressed red metal, looks great with the chair and calendar page. Obviously needs to be hung, and of course that pesky lamp didn't sprout a shade overnight....
And then for over the bed...I found some really cool tin letters, but also picked up some paper mache letters that I could paint.
I'm pretty happy with the mirror and the calendar page, but I'm not sure about the letters. Are they the right size for the space?? Part of me thinks I should just keep them...they were only a few dollars each, and when/if we move the bed to the other wall and get a headboard, they might be perfect. So since this is not neccessarily the "permanent" set up maybe I should be less picky?
I think there will be a lot of red going on with the chair, the calendar and the mirror on that side of the room, but I could always paint the bedside table red to tie both sides of the room together. The bedside table is not in great shape anyway and would be easy to paint.
Whatcha think?? :-) |

| I LOVE the tin letters. You must use them! I was also going to suggest framing some of DS's art. The kids love that!

| I can't believe you walked into the antique mall and there was a very cool 1951 calender with planes featured on it. As my mother would say, you must be living right! The calendar is wonderful. And the letters are fun too. I give a big vote for painting the bedside table red. I think it will pull the room together and will be a bigger bang than you might think. Way to go! |

| I love it! You did great. If you want to change things up a bit maybe you could take one of the plane pictures and move it out a little, then put up the F L Y letters in a handpainted banner. I did something like this a few houses ago! Of course I have no pictures or I would post it. We also have planes hanging from the ceiling by fishing line. |

| I love the calendar page! I also really like the letters. I would keep all 3 sets of letters and put them all up over the bed. I would fill the space nicely and you could paint the 2 other sets in complimentary colors. |

| I love everything you've done. The only change to the letters I'd make is to space them a bit further and start with the F lowest and go up so the letters.... .................y .............L .........F |

| I LOVE IT!!!! I cannot believe you went shopping and had such success like that! The tin letters look perfect and I agree with olychick's suggestion on arranging them. And I think painting the table red is a great idea! |

| It looks wonderful! BTW, as much as I dislike those "little eagle" pulls, they couldn't be more appropriate in a "fly" room. Great job. |

The room is coming along wonderfully! Love the framed calendar page, but my favorite thing is that super-comfy looking over-stuffed, red arm chair! My suggestion would be to move the dresser over more, away from the chair. Then move the chair towards the dresser a bit, making room for an end table next to the chair on the window side. Add a nice reading lamp (or floor lamp) with a 3-way bulb. You might even consider using an old footlocker as an end table. That would give you some great extra storage, as well. Make that area the coziest reading spot ever! Lynn |

| happyintexas - check out this ebay listing - my Dad sent it to me after I showed him the calendar page I got. You could get a calendar and frame the pages....maybe do a huge gallery wall above a desk or couch... |
