If you're painting to sell, I'd go very neutral. When people are looking at houses, they are thinking in terms of what color they'll paint a room, so neutral colors allow them to do that w/o turning them off. Some people will love a green room, others will cringe at it. Neutral is just that: Neutral, i.e.: safe.

However, the color of a room really isn't a deterrent for a buyer, unless it's a deep, dark color, in a large room, that they'll have have to prime before being able to paint. Turnoffs are things that will incur high costs or heavy labor. When I looked at my house, one of the bedrooms looked like someone had painted it while on LSD in the 1970s: neon colors with huge flowers on one wall, different geometric designs on another.

I bought the house anyway. That room is now painted in Nantucket Fog. But I did have to prime over all that other stuff first.

For resale purposes, I agree that I would choose a neutral. I would go with one of the neutrals you have already used.

Neutral all the way, if possible. Let the new owners worry about color matching because they want to. All new homeowners want to color match their stuff and abandon your stuff. It's the capitalist way.
