I don't know that no one wants it, I think it just went on the market. But given its niche market, the price seems very low. There are recent comps, apparently, in the $10Ms range: very specific, architect-y stuff. $3M just seems low, like they are *trying to sell it at a loss.

That is an extremely cool house. I bet that it is wonderful in the summer. That area is very peaceful and would not be that long of a drive (45 minutes or so) to some wonderful spas and resorts in Desert Hot Springs and then the social life of Palm Springs. However, I do not know that I would find it comfortable in the winter. Joshua Tree can get cold and I think the rock would accenutuate that.
