I wouldn't call my walls dark, but perhaps mid level and my floors are natural maple. Sorry this isn't a great pic but the only one I can find with floor and wall.

Sorry for the blurry picture but its the only one I have of a rental condo that we owned a few years ago.The floors are 100+ year old maple. When we bought the place we had the floors refinished but left them natural. Believe it or not, when we had the place for sale we did not get any negative comments about the red walls.

I am not sure what type of wood my floors are but they have yellowed quite a bit over time. I prefer deeper colors and used them everywhere. I have a putty grey in a bedroom and a true darker grey in my living room. I am not sure if I believe there is such a thing as warm grey, they always read cool to me but here are my examples of yellow floors with some deeper colors. My halls are a purple grey and it is probably my favorite color with yellow floors, but it is not for everyone:).
