Get whatever comforter you love and at night, put a large cotton sheet over it on which the dogs will be. Easy to take off during the day, if you want, and wash, as well as hang on a clothesline to get the dog hair off.

Duvet covers are incredibly easy to make. If you don't have access to a machine, check with your local fabric shop to get the name of a seamstress.

That way, you have a limitless choice of fabric, and you'll have a truly custom cover. You can even use sheets.

I know it's a solid colored cover but it has held up very well in our home with two dogs. I've had it over five years and wash it often, it's easy to wash. It hides hair/dirt well because the pin tucks cause shadows and variation when you look at it. I also have it in green for my guest room and am considering buying it in gray. It just has held up so well and always feels nice.

buddysmom, I made one years ago with some beautiful Ralph Lauren fabric. It is sooooo easy. Just sew three sides, inside out, and a little bit on each end of the fourth side. Turn right side out, sew on snaps, and voila!

I got ikea for our new house in 2 bedrooms. Love them. One is check the spelling, palmilla in turquoise blue stripes. Great looking, IMO.
