I am looking for something to go over the sink. Not too small. Not too big, though *slightly* oversized may be okay. I have some things I've bookmarked, but I'm having issues with playing it safe - as in I play it too safe!! I don't want the trendy industrial warehouse light (though I like it and it looks awesome), and I don't want anything TOO vintagey - unless it's just right. A little chandelier-y would be nice, but not TOO chandelier-y. Clear as mud, right? :) The wall color will be changing to something lighter. I had wondered about the metal in the fixture being darker to match the dark legs of my barstools. ? I guess I wouldn't mind matching the "style/feel" of my barstools, which are butcher block tractor seat ones from Restoration Hardware.

I'm also not sure what to do (or not do) about curtains. My blinds are functional and needed. I don't like valences. Maybe cafes? And is having a light fixture that hangs down near cafe curtains weird??
