Try looking at wall-to-wall and having it bound in the size you need.

I have a JC Penney Majestic Scroll Border Rug 8 x 10 in the color sand. It's not white, but it is very light.

I vacuum it with a beater bar upright type vacuum.

That's what we did in our previous home. Bought a rug remnant and had it bound.

Went to local carpet store and they did not have a true white rug. Any more ideas? Thank you.

Here is one on Overstock. It is a higher pile, but is polypropylene, so should stand up to a beater bar on a vacuum.

eta: I just read the reviews and customers complain it's not a true white...sorry.

Generally white rugs are hard to maintain as they are more likely to get stained with water marks and dust. Why not think of ivory or cream colored rugs? I know one such website that offers incredible cream rugs at very reasonable prices.

When I was in Lowe's today looking at their hanging display of area rugs, there was a really nice white rug with just a very subtle variance in pile to create a bit of pattern.

Do you have pictures of the room? Do you have a carpet store that sells Stark or Stanton? They carry carpet that can be cut and bound that are white.

There are some white area rugs of the proper size under "todays events" then "Black and white rugs" on the site myhabit.com.

myhabit is part of amazon It's one of those "daily sale" type things. But I don't find it cumbersome or tedious like some of the others. It is easy to get at what you want. . if you have an amazon login you can use it on myhabit. Otherwise, I think you might have to create a login. I'm not sure.
