Hello! Looking for help for future new home construction... I am deciding what size great room we need in order to accommodate us comfortably. I want a set up consisting of something like - 2 full size sofas and 2 chairs, etc. We have 3 young boys and plan to add a fourth child to our clan, so we will be at least a family a 6 - and then w/friends, family etc - I need space to seat a crowd :) I have attached our proposed plan. At this point, I am thinking we probably need to extend the greatroom to make it 20x20". I plan to move the fireplace either to the left wall (against the master closet) or to the far wall - in between windows to the deck. Will 20'x20' be a good size, including space for walkways?
