About a month ago, I woke in the middle of the night and discovered a hole in the bottom bed sheet which I had actually put my foot through it. They weren't that old, but I didn't really like the microfiber sheets anyway; had bought them on a huge sale at jcp. Too soft for my liking.

I found these sheets on Amazon on a great sale ($55 for a king set), so thought I'd give them a try. Love these sheets. They are heavier than microfiber, and crisp. Washed them right away, and they came out beautifully. There is elastic all around the bottom sheet, and the top sheet is quite large with plenty of room to tuck in all around on my deep S&F mattress. The bottom sheet was a tad big, so I stitched the corners to make it smaller. Worked great.
