I'm very much that not all metals have to match, and I certainly didn't match light fixtures in all the rooms...but in the rooms that are open to each other, I did try to make sure that they "went"...even if they weren't the same metal, they shared a shape in the shade or metals or coordinated in some way.

The lights you selected are all very specific and look nice together, but very far from chrome...I'm concerned that the chrome fixtures would be too contemporary for the style with the rest of your house, if the lamp style is representative.

Yes that is the pendant I am looking at, it comes in that color or chrome. I like it because it is big 16", so I will only need two and it has a shade at the bottom the blocks the bulb. I hate looking up and getting light bulb eye when I am sitting at an island. Anyway, most of the pendants like this that I have seen on houzz and other places have been chrome. I just don't want them to be these big heavy 'black- to your eye' blobs at eye level. I have white cabinets so they are going to really show up against those. I am not apposed to them though, definitely consider the darker finish for sure. If anyone has any suggestions for other pendants to look at that would be great.

I am a little worried about the candle style chandelier that it would hurt my eyes too but I am going to put it on a dimmer and I think those bulbs are not as offensive.
