Very often the reason the clock doesn't work is the parts are worn/broken and aren't worth replacing. That happened with our GF clock and we got rid of it. We enjoyed it while we had it though.

An Ebay search for "Ridgeway movement" should answer your question. Also, there is most likely a clock guy/gal in your area. Look them up and stop by to see what they would pay.

Rockler is a company that has clock mechanisms...and they have a web site...Rockler.com. And as said before.....if you have a clock repair man stop by and tell him what you want.....he may have an answer as to where you can get the battery mechanisms. My son and his wife have an antique Grandfather clock and when it chimes, it is beautiful.

Thanks everyone....I was beginning to think the removed parts might be worthless. Lot's of gears.....maybe a quizative little mind might want to play with them...LOL

I thought if they did have value, it would be best to have them removed by someone who knows how to do it. I live in a very rural area, so not much chance of finding a local repairman or shop.

grandmaof3.....I also have a beautiful Howard Miller Grandfather clock and love the chimes. I purchased this Ridgeway for the purpose to make a cabinet. It has a very unique rounded corner base. I had never seen one like it and fell in love. But then the clock face was so beautiful....I decided to keep the upper clock also. It is a really large Grandfather clock!!!
