Hi,
We are doing a kitchen remodel and plan to use honed Calacatta Gold or the similar, but more heavier veined, Calacatta Oro for the perimeter counter tops and the perimeter island. I am a different material for the inside island, but not sure what would look nice...

I am thinking either a full height slab back splash or subway tile in the Calacatta. I definitely know I do not want to introduce another material. Subway would be less expensive and I really like the look, but am afraid that the veining and/or colors may not end up working with the slab. Where do I look and how do I make sure it all works together? Does anyone have experience here? What about straight vs. beveled subway tile edges?

I also would like a slight off white for the cabinets...probably with gray undertones in it as opposed to going to bright white or anything that pulls yellow. Suggestions?
