Barn Wood Table is Stained

I was nervous about the table getting stained as I loved the original greyed finish of the weathered old barn wood but I think it turned out great. The thing that I am so amazed at is how rough the wood looks but it is as smooth as glass.

I love how the new bench now looks like an old bench that was found and refinished but it was just built a few weeks ago.

DH told me that the top is an old door that was brought to to the shop and they asked DH to turn it into a table.

I put my order in for a table but decided to wait until we move so that he can custom build it to the space since I like big family meals & homework/ craft space.

Gorgeous. I am SUCH a fan of reclaimed barn wood. Staining actually brings out the grain and luxe of the wood more.

I had to have a small stable torn down on my property, and my father made a sideboard and a bathroom mirror out of the barn wood for me. Instant heirlooms, and so gorgeous.

Two things that go with everything: Reclaimed barn wood furniture, and Persian carpets. Put a Persian carpet under a barn wood table, and I melt.
