| I haven't figured out how to get my pics to show up inline. I tried but only get the red x. So I'll attach. Sorry I don't remember the actual paint color, but it is a Behr paint in some sagey name color. It was 4 years ago and I don't keep a file like I should. The part above the mantel I mixed in a little BM Navajo White, that much I do know. |

Kitchen ceiling is citron sea glass (matches our seaglass subway tile backsplash perfectly). Not sure how well this subtle color is captured by pictures. |

BATHROOM: almost a deep blue-ish green shade

| i love your greens! i have a 'history of green' den. the slipper chair is avacado from the 70's, the rug is olive and rose from the 80's, the couch is hunter from the 90's and i recently redid the walls with sage striped wallpaper and sage toile window toppers. talk about a room 'evolving' i see alot of shades of green granite counter tops and tiles. paint can be easely changed when it gets dated, but a counter top is sort of permanent on my budget. i don't think i would do green on a permanent fixture...mom |

| My LR green is AT Willow Wind. It is a very light sensative green can go from clear and pastel to very muddy and sagey. |
|
| We used Spring Lawn (a Lowe's color) in my daughter room, and it's very bright lime green - perfect for her though. And we used Eddie Bauer Chive, also from Lowe's in our master bedroom. |

|
| Colleen, your photo of the Spring Lawn blew me away. On my monitor, it looks just like Olympic Lime that we got from Lowes for Son's room. Also, this shot of the room is exactly the same configuration as his room. Red |

| Wrong picture. It didn't link. But it's the closet & doorway pic in the Lime from your album. |

|
| I'm in the process of painting my kitchen Behr's Lion--it was a very dark BM Alligator Green. Lion is a nice, light, airy green that's not too yellow or blue, not too gray or drab, not too light, and not too dark. I might describe it as a pale celery. It's a nice compliment to my white cabinetry, stainless steel appliances and hardware, and orange, yellow, and avocado window treatments. (I would post a picture, but I don't know how.) |

| Remembered the name.... used two tones, lighter in the eating area, darker in the kitchen. Bay Laurel is the lighter, Spanish Moss the darker. Both matched by Behr. |
|
| I first did my living room in Behr Mother Nature but didn't like it..it was too green. Then redid it in Behr Spartan Stone and like it much better. It's more of a grey/green color. |

| SW (Martha Stewart) Fen. LOVE it! It's a little deeper in person than in the photo. A very eye-pleasing tone neither too olive/brown or too yellow. Looked darker and more of an army green in the sample "swatch" on the wall. But perfect when the room was complete. |

| I wanted to post this on Taupes & Browns, but I guess I have to play nice. I was looking for a much more neutral color to repaint my dining room, that had been Woodbine, a perky warm pear color from ICI. So I found Ben Moore's Northampton Putty, which looked like a taupe brown with a hint of olive. None of my family saw any real green in it, but now that it's dry.......it does have a brown green feel. I love it with my red persian rug and warm woods. Some walls look more grey and some more green.

| Do paint colors come in and out every year like fashion clothing? I have a partial can of paint a friend gave me and I think I'd like to use the color in a semigloss sheen on cabinets. It's called Retreat, but I can't find it in Sherwin Williams color chart. Oh, and another question: what is the best sheen to use on kitchen cabinets? High gloss or semi-gloss, or satin or eggshell? What's in style now for cabinets, if you're doing 'em in a bright color like green? |

| I have a question. I am planning on painting my new house with lots of greens and neutral khaki's from Sherwin Williams. If given the choice, would most of you use the same color green on the ceiling or one shade lighter? I LOVE green and this thread is great. I want to see more! lol Brutuses- I really like your two tone example of a lighter shade on the ceiling. Do you think I could do that in a large room with a cathedral ceiling? Or would I be safer doing all one color with a sloped ceilling? |

| More and more my home is becoming yellow and green. Never knew I even liked green until I started updating bedrooms and painted two of them green and got some compliments. I do not have the color of the bathroom green but it's close to the Sprig Green by Behr that I used in the bedroom. It just looks a lot richer. I really like it. Peachie |
|
| Hi Peachiepie, I like the green color in your bath. Is it sprig green from Behr or is it a custom mix? I'm looking for a fresh green color for my kitchen. Your color really caught my eye. Barbara Thoman |

| Glad you bumped this one. I just finished painting our kitchen with Dutch Boy color from Wal-Mart so I believe it is called Color Place Paint. The Dutch Boy color is called Lil' Sprout #702 and the card says Better Homes and Gardens on it. So figure it out I can't. Hehehe
Close up. Really hard to capture this color.
Doing some abstract mosaic on that trunk top. Hoping I can tie it to my cottage look. I went off my rocker and fell in love with a dark green and gold abstract rug.Just the corner of the rug shows. Chris |
