I have the hardest home layout ever to decorate..sigh..help!

I'm no master at making things beautiful. However my home has been my hardest challenge. I have an eclectic taste and know what I like. Furniture placement has been the biggest issue! How do I work around the doorways, built ins and fireplace.Will take any advice for help!
