This is my first post (hi everyone!) and I am hoping you can help me with the exterior of our house. I think it's cute - but I'm wondering what it could look like with different paint and/or a new/ different roof; especially the area where the shingles are on the side of the house. I feel like it could be "kicked up a notch", but I'm just not sure where to go. I'm not great at visualizing it.

As for things I like - blue/ grays or even light green and cedar shakes, or some sort of textured looking roof. I also like the hardie board siding that looks like shingles. Black shutters. I would say coastal/ "Charlestony" type design inspires me. I don't want to completely change the style of our house, but I would like for it to look updated and be unique. Also, we are about to begin sprucing up the landscaping. Nothing too major, but it will freshen up the yard.
