Look for ideas for bedroom

Hi,

I'm looking for ideas for re-painting my bedroom. It's actually a small master bedroom that's 11x10. I like the colors but it is very dark in the room during the daytime. I think its because the dark color is above the chair rail. The picture I posted actually gives it justice and makes the room brighter but that is only because of the flash on the camera. The colors in the picture are benjamin moore "demin wash" above the chair rail and BM "atrium white" below. I was thinking of putting a lighter shade of blue on the bottom of the chair rail and a very light gray on the top? Any color suggestions for a such a little room?

You need to post this over in the Discussions area where you can get answers. This is the gallery, not the discussion area. But while you're here, you might want to look at the bedrooms thread and at the different color threads for specific paint brands and colors.

I do think it's a sweet room. And not being a fan of two colors on the wall, I would suggest going with a much lighter color, perhaps something like Restoration Hardware Silver Sage, on the entire wall. It would help your white furniture stand out and many who have used it say it can be quite neutral for decorating.

I like the colors, but the furniture is lost against the white walls. Would you consider just reversing the colors? Blue on the bottom and white on the top?
