Anyone else follow Tripp Halstead's story?

Tripp is a boy who lives outside of Atlanta and was critically injured when a large tree branch fell on him about a year ago. DD is very involved with the Children's Miracle Network at her school and I originally saw the story on her facebook page.

I stay away from the dramatic stuff on facebook but this boy's mother is so stereotypically southern and positive that I couldn't help being drawn into the family's story.

Tripp is currently having medical problems. As I was reading the updates I wondered if any of the page's 1.1 million followers were gardenwebbers.

I don't regularly follow little Tripp's story, but I have a FB friend or two who do and I see his updates periodically on their FB pages. It was really tragic what happened to him in the blink of an eye. And he is the cutest little boy you can't help being drawn in by his mother's stories and updates as they persevere through this journey with him.

Like outsideplaying, I "know" of Tripp because a FB friend shares the updates. Breaks my heart when I hear about him having another complication (today).

So sad. No, I'm not one of the followers but the story struck a nerve with me because when my DD was in 3rd grade, a large branch fell off a tree onto one of her classmates, who passed away as a result. Such a random, tragic event.
