I've loooonnngg-loved this catchy Led-Zeppelin tune, "Gallows Pole". The weird cranked instrument that starts @ 1:25 sounds pretty unique and cool!

    I can't think of hurdy gurdy without thinking of Donovan. Below is a TED talk on the instrument. I had no idea it was so old an instrument.
