Lots of common sense. And personally, i like the phrasing, Rules of Play!

Hmmm, I've never seen them either. Where did you find them posted? But, getting back to the specific rules, they don't bother me. I personally hate to see a thread turn ugly, mean-spirited or hurtful. I've missed a couple of threads here recently that were taken down, and have no idea what specifically caused them.

I do, however, recall back (5-6 years ago?) when the Great Impressions decorating website was up and popular, that it was frequently mentioned how mean-spirited GW could get. Since I've been posting here, I've been impressed with how the current monitors have kept things welcoming and pleasant, so I have no complaints about their "play nice" rules.

I do get frustrated by the random enforcement. It often seems that the person who complains gets to have the thread edited to their liking. I completely understand the obvious deletions. But, sometimes offensive messages get deleted and other equally offensive messages remain in the thread. In that case, it is usually obvious which person in the thread reported the problem.
