At The Risk Of Sounding Obsessed....Downton Christmas Albumn Out!

The two disc set of Christmas at Downton Abbey was released on iTunes this morning. I have been listening to it....fairly generic, mostly the Cambridge King's College Singers, a few tracks with Elizabeth McGovern, one reading of the night before Christmas by Jim Carter (Carson), a couple of tracks by Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, etc. Haven't yet finished it yet, and there's more "Christmas" than "Downton" to this one, but the arrangements and artists are good and it's good value at $14.98 for 45 tracks. And the Christmas versions of the DA theme are great!

Just in case anyone else is obsess----er, interested !

I have to say after having it on in the background most of the day, that Elizabeth McGovern seems to be aping the musical style of an Irish singer named Julie Feeney, if anyone is familiar with her.
