And kswl, I've been meaning to thank you for recommending the BBC's Escape to the Country (awhile ago, back on the Downton Abbey thread). I've been watching it while on my treadmill and while felting. I'm really enjoying it.

I am sitting here with unfinished knitting and needlepoint projects. DH and I escaped to NH for a few days and I've been knitting a bit in between hikes. It is REALLY tempting to search for a felting project! Maybe next year when DS has gone off to college and I at least finish a couple of these things. Meanwhile, please post more!

TRH, I'm glad you like the show! It's my favorite, especially the mystery house segment. I just watch it and dream.

That gnome took hours, because I literally didn't practice on anything, just jumped right in so it was slow going. Sue Bunch from backtobackalpaca has a really good needle felting 101 video that I watched first, then the gnome video. I also made a felted ball for my daughter's cat to play with to say thanks-- she and her BF drove down yesterday to help me with my pumpkin decorating booth at a fundraising fair for our local dog rescue society. We didn't have quite the turnout we had last year so I made several "show" pumpkins to entice people to our booth....all in all it's been a pretty crafty weekend. Which is funny because I am not really talented in that area!
