Boot jewelry

x posted on crafts NOT I have tried twice to post on crafts and each time the post disappears.

Long story short, boots I bought for a cowboy wedding are going back as they are too tight (no bigger size, other complained about this too). Ordered new boots with good reviews but they don't have the boot jewelry the other boots came with.

I've been searching all day and can't seem to find what I'm looking for so considering making them. I want the kind that goes around the ankle but then has a chain that goes in front of the heel. I like the heavier chains. I'm not that creative so I need inspiration or need to know where I can find some to buy.

Anyone done this? Here are some of my pins but none of these is exactly what I'm looking for but maybe I'm wrong.

Outfit is silky black dress, acid washed levi's trucker jacket, black high heeled cowboy boots. Apparently everyone is wearing a contrast of casual country with formal.

Have you tried Etsy? There are quite a few people who sell them on there. Frankly, it'd probably be cheaper to buy off there than try to make your own, once you figure in the cost of materials.

My late MIL got some for her boots for her sons wedding, but I don't know where she got them. They were along the lines of what you'd posted, but had some charms on the outside. Good luck with your search.

pesky1, you are so right about it being expensive to make your own. I just went to a craft store and started pricing it out.

I think I'm going to buy a ready made pair and then maybe over the winter try making them as a craft project. Looks like a lot of people who make their own, find cheap jewelry at yard sales and retro fit it for boots.

I would go to a thrift store, or someplace like target, and look at their necklaces with multiple strands (or singles if you prefer). It looks like you could easily just arrange like you want around the boot using the clasps and snip off the excess.
