What an adorable pup she was!

Our mixed breed is 1/2 Chow, also one of the oldest breeds I wonder when the herding breeds come in to the lineage.

This June, b4 Father's-Day, DW & DD took some pix of Callie in the backyard, & emailed them off to be laminated onto a nice coffee-mug!
Here's a couple of the shots:

She's 3.7y/o, 46lbs. in these shots! Can you tell I'm a proud Dad?! This mid-Sept., the 15th, 16th, & 17th...are Callie's 4th B-day, my 52nd, & DD's 23rd, in that order.
(my B-day kinda gets forgotten somewhat in the middle there...;-))

She's so pretty. My Aurora is part Sammy mixed with Border Collie. She's smart as a whip, and not quite as big as a standard Sammy. My favorite part of her is the curly tail-but she HATES to have it touched.

My boy Max (Maximum) is yellow lab and chow. He's got the best of both traits, I think. A heart of gold, but a fierce guard dog if need be. His bark will scare off anyone-but he's a big fat loverbaby.

Interesting...a "Sammie" with curly hair! I love the taller BC ears on the smaller dog! Did her ears start out laying-down? In my first pic here, Callie's ears are still flopped over. VERY adorable!
