My sister sent me this today. The author is credited to be Pastor Jentezen Franklin. I thought you all might get a big chuckle out of it . . . and perhaps pass it on to a young daughter, niece, granddaughter or friend. Smart lady. Wise advice with a big dose of humor!

"To all the girls who are in a hurry to have a boyfriend or get married, a piece of biblical advice: Ruth patiently waited for her mate, Boaz. While you are waiting for YOUR Boaz, don't settle for any of his relatives: Broke-az, Po-az, Lyin-az, Cheating-az, Dumb-az, Drunk-az, Cheap-az, Lockedup-az, Goodfornothing-az, Lazy-az, and especially his third cousin Beatinyo-az. Wait for your Boaz . . . and make sure he respects Yo-az!"

OK, no one has commented on this and now I'm worrying that it might be offensive to people. Since it was written by a church pastor, I thought it would be alright to post here. If this has offended anyone, please send me a quick email and let me know. It's gotten lots of positive comments and not one negative one on my Facebook page.

Lynn I don't think it's offensive, at least not to me. It's cute, and would probably be quite well received as part of a Sunday sermon!

So funny, and I love Jentezen, sounds exactly like something he would say. He had the funniest skit about teenagers years ago, "keep your underwear on".

Very cute-/funny! Not offensive at all - it's a joke.

I will read it to my twelve year old - going on sixteen - granddaughter who just entered middle school and has suddenly become boy crazy! Uhhgg

Not offended at all, I think it's so funny! I'm just catching up on threads here too as we got home late last night from DH's ball game. I'll definitely be copying and pasting to my DD who can pass it on to DGD. (still giggling)
