golddust, a jewelry question for you

I have a sterling silver and 14kt gold locket. The silver part is pretty tarnished. I know you're in the jewelry business- would it be safe for me to put it in a silver dip cleaner? (safe for the gold part) The jar says it contains thiourea. Thank you!

If there is no enamel on it, put it in Tarnex. If there is anything else on it that you don't want to hurt, use a Q-Tip to apply. Tarnex is found in most grocery stores.
