I think it's beautiful, but agree that it would be too much, too busy for the large area you have to cover. I really like the close-up but when you see it in the larger pics, it's quite dominant in the room. If I remember correctly, the lighter ones you were considering weren't "too" light and had a bit of a pattern/texture. If so, I think they would be amenable to a life with dogs. While you don't want to see every speck, you probably want to see when it needs cleaning, just from a housekeeping standpoint.

I'm only seeing your photos -- where is the Congoleum Web site one?

I agree that the samples that have the square-ish shape in the middle and bordering on the edge is too busy once you multiply those and have them butting up against each other. I would go lighter, too -- since you still have some almond in at least the stove. (Unless you have replacement in mind for later down the road?)

I have three dogs, and I much prefer your earlier light choice. I think I'd get dizzy with all that space done in this flooring. If you buy vinyl, it's going to be easy to mop up doggie foot prints, no matter what color. (says this dog mom whose biggest just came in from DIGGING - argh!!)

Okay, the type is Congoleum Airstep Advantage, Savor, and color is Warm Croissant. Thanks for telling me that it wasn't working.

I think it does look too busy. Do you have other patterns you are considering?
